Paradox London: Overpriced at Mall vs. Online Discount

Why is the same product priced differently at the mall and online?

Today, I went to Paradox London at Dolmen Mall, Karachi. The first thing I noticed was that the saleslady was talking excessively and trying to forcefully sell items by claiming that they would give me an extra discoun. Anyway, I purchased a sandal there for Rs. 16,799, but as soon as I reached home and checked the price on their official website, it was listed as Rs. 14,249. The lady said she gave me a discount on an already discounted item, but she didn’t. It was such a confusing experience.

Can someone guide me now on how to exchange these products from them and tag Body Shop here?

sending us expired products at this high price, and with this international name, Body Shop Pakistan should be ashamed of themselves—the Bodyshop.

Sastaticket.pk Refund Delay:

Sastaticket.pk booked a ticket on sastaticket which I had to cancel due to visa problem. My ticket was refundable. I cancelled my ticket on the 10th March Monday. Sastaticket has advertised on their app that refund is issued within 48 hours(a screenshot attached) but when I asked them to refund my ticket, they gave me different timelines from 7 to 10 days and in one msg even up to 25 days for refund. How fair is that? If they cannot refund within 48 hours, then why have they mentioned it in their app.? Very unprofessional and misleading. Through this noble forum of VOC I request higher authorities in the static ticket to plz look into this and issue refund asap.

The Lavender Town Scam:

My friend ordered a deal for me, including a cake bouquet and a basket worth 6000. Upon changing the from milky mat cake to the lotus and including 3 chocolates, he made a total of 7500 which was completely advance. And also the delivery charges were separated.

1. Their account was disabled a day before and all chats disappeared

2. Cake remained the same, after charging more, he sent the same cake Milky Mat instead of Lotus

3. Basket items were totally different and did not include chocolates for which he charged extra

4. After reaching out, he started ignoring messages

5. Helium balloon 1x, a candle, and 2 cards were also missing

I searched them on voc and also saw their posts related to them where they also ruined the things, but the thing was my friend had sent him advance a month before which was totally not refundable, whereas all businesses cut 10% when customer cancels the order.

I do not have old chats as their account was disabled.

Mainly, I got to know from the rider that they are literally the scammers. As the basket was the only thing they sent from Lahore, and the cake, the bouquet was purchased from my own city, Gujranwala

Delivery charges were 550, and the total cost of the order was 7500. Anyone please tell me if this is worth it in 7500 [Milky Mat cake, bouquet, 2 helium balloons, basket including 3 layers of 30rs. 2x you chocolate a small cake and small juice of fruita vitals]

Overseas Client Duped

How an Overseas Client Duped Me for an Assignment”

I got scammed in Ramadan.

A person from Australia texted me on Messenger, saying that he needed an assignment done and had to submit it on Monday. On Friday, he sent Rs. 1,080 to my account as an advance, while the total amount was Rs. 10,000.

I will hide his name and number in the post because I have heard that in this group, no one can reveal anyone’s identity.

Continuing the story-I took the Rs. 1,080 and told him that I thought he would send half the amount as an advance, but he only sent Rs. 1,080. He said he would send the rest after the assignment was completed.

The assignment was very lengthy, so I worked on it for three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), more than 15 hours in total. Finally, on Sunday, I completed the assignment and sent it to him on WhatsApp.

When I asked for the remaining amount, he blocked me on WhatsApp and stopped replying on Messenger. You can see the screenshots. This is the state of people-even while sitting in Australia, they still scam others. Really, really disappointed.
